WHAT DOES PŪRVELO MEAN? +

pūr = pure: [adj] not mixed with anything, being thus and no other, clear and simple. velo = velocipede: [noun] a vehicle, usually having two or three wheels, propelled by the rider. together they form purvelo.

WHAT IS CLASS LIKE? +

We are a rhythm based indoor cycling studio.  We use the beat of the music to drive momentum in the class and your energy to create an EPIC experience on our bikes.  We always throw in some hand weights and choreography to work your core.

HOW SHOULD I PREP FOR MY RIDE? +

Drink up! Staying hydrated is key to a pūr and healthy lifestyle. You will get extra sweaty on your ride and you will want water. Feel free to bring your own, or we will have water available for you. Be sure to drink up not only during your ride, but before and after as well.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? +

If this is your first ride, we recommend a light and airy top and a fitted pair of bottoms. Be sure YOU feel comfortable in your gear, and never fear we have gear for purchase if you happen to forget or are just looking for something new!

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE? +

EARLY. Nothing is more stressful than arriving at the last minute and rushing to claim your bike, so we recommend a 15 minute window. Be sure to let the front desk know if you’re a newbie and we will help get you set up on the bike and outfitted with cycling shoes. We will make sure to give you the down low on everything you need to know. Please know arriving late is not an option. Our doors close promptly when class starts and no one is allowed to enter late.

DO I NEED TO SIGN IN? +

Yes, make sure to sign the class sign in sheet every time you ride. If you are not signed in 2 minutes before your ride, your spot will be released to the next rider. If you’re a new rider you will need to fill out a New Rider Waiver and review the Bike Safety Instructions when you arrive for your first time. Please note, riders under 18 must have their parent or guardian sign the waiver in person! No waiver, no ride.

DO I NEED SPECIAL CYCLING SHOES? +

We clip in at purvelo, but don’t let that intimidate you. Clipping in to our bikes allows pur riders a safer ride and to target all the right muscles to get the most out of your ride. Shoe rentals are available for $2. If you choose to use your own shoes, no problem, we are SPD and Look compatible!

DO YOU HAVE SHOWERS? +

Yes, we have private showers and towels for you post ride.

WHAT KIND OF BIKES DO YOU HAVE? +

We ride on Stages SC Series studio bikes. Stages Cycling proves world-class bikes aren’t only found on the road. This smooth riding, easy to adjust, low-maintenance, state-of-the art bike is equipped with the Stages CarbonGlyde System and uses a Gates® Carbon Drive™ carbon fiber belt to deliver the most realistic outdoor road feel. It is the most efficient drive train found on an indoor cycling bike.

ARE THE BIKES ADJUSTABLE? +

Of course, pūr and simple. In case you’ve never done it before, there are 4 places where you can adjust your bike:

  1. Seat height
  2. Front/Back seat position
  3. Handlebar Height
  4. Front/Back Handlebar position

If you’re new to cycling, please be sure to arrive early so that we can help you adjust your bike and let the front desk know!

HOW ELSE CAN I PREPARE? +

pūrvelo is a total body workout. As with the start of any fitness routine, it is best to talk with your doctor before your first ride. Let us know if you have any questions as we are always happy to answer them.

All of our instructors are here to motivate and inspire you to do more, but you are in control of your body so listen to it. Always work at a pace that is with in your comfort level. Before class starts, be sure to check that your cycling shoes are secure in the pedals, all knobs are tightened (righty tighty/lefty loosy) and that you test the brake. Grab water from your bottle when you need it and be sure to keep hydrated after your ride. 

WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION/NO SHOW POLICY? +

In order to cancel a reservation in a pūrvelo class and return it to your account, you must unreserve 12 hours prior to the class. Once your reservation is canceled, the class credit will be returned to your account to be used at a future date; the credit is not refunded. If you haven't canceled 12 hours before class, your scheduled credit will be charged to your series and will not be returned to your account. If you are on an unlimited-membership and do not cancel 12 hours before your scheduled class you will receive a $20 late cancellation fee. If you are on an unlimited membership and fail to cancel or late-cancel, you will be charged a $20 no show fee. If you are on a class pack or class credit and do not cancel 12 hours before your scheduled class you will lose that class credit. If you are on a class pack or class credit and fail to cancel or late-cancel, you will lose that class credit.

You can cancel your reservation in the following ways: log into your account on the website or through the pūrvelo cycle app, and next to the class you wish to cancel, press "unreserve".

Please note: in fairness to all our customers, BIKES AND SPOTS WILL BE RELEASED 2 MINUTES BEFORE CLASS BEGINS. In the event that you do not unreserve your bike 12 hours prior to class, or if you do not claim your bike at least 2 minutes before class begins, then pūrvelo shall have the right, without any credit or refund to you, to allow others to reserve or use your bike for a fee.

WHAT IS THE WAITLIST POLICY? +

If you choose to place yourself on the wait list, you are committing to this spot. When you join the waitlist, one credit will be deducted from your account. If you join the waitlist and a space becomes available, you will be automatically added to the class. You will be notified by e-mail if you are automatically added to a class.

It is the sole responsibility of client to monitor his/her place on the waitlist. If you join a waitlist but no longer wish to attend the class, you should cancel the booking via our website or app as soon as possible. If you are added to a class you may cancel up to 9 PM the night before the class and receive a refund of your credit but you will not be refunded if you cancel within 12 hours of the class. If you are added to a class within 12 hours of the class and cannot attend the class, you will be penalized according to the cancellation policy above. If you join the waitlist and a place on the fully booked class does not become available by the start of class, the credit debited from your account to join the waitlist will be returned to your series. If we cancel a class, your credit will be returned to your series.

For clients who are running late: we ask that you call the studio to let us know you are on the way. If you call the front desk at least 5 minutes before class begins, we will hold a reservation until the class begins, though we cannot guarantee you will be given the bike you signed up for in the particular class should bike reservations be available at the time of booking. At this time, we cannot accommodate late riders. Once the studio door closes and class begins, we won’t be able to let riders in.

For riders who are leaving early: if you're planning on leaving early, we kindly request that you tell the instructor ahead of time for everyone’s safety.

WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY? +

All sales for cycle services are final – no refunds. If you change your mind about any goods purchased from us, you may return them to our studio within 7 days with your receipt and we will exchange the product for a different size, store credit equivalent to the amount paid for the returned goods, or a full refund to the original payment method provided that the goods are unused, unworn and are not damaged. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Should you wish to return merchandise ordered from the online store, please send an email to shop@purvelocycle.com within 7 days of receiving your product and we will provide you with additional details on how to return your product. pūrvelo will not be responsible for any return shipping costs. Products must be unworn and undamaged to be eligible for return. All sale items are final sale - no returns/refunds. All pūr pro shop items are final sale - no returns/refunds. Payment for products & services by credit card will be processed in US Dollars at the time of payment. pūrvelo is not responsible for any fees, charges, exchange rates of additional charges levied by individual financial institutions or credit card companies.
